Ruohonjuuri and Supermind: Driving Efficiency and Availability with AI

One of Supermind’s most valued customers is Ruohonjuuri, a Finnish eco-store chain specializing in holistic and natural well-being. With 17 stores across Finland and a thriving online shop, Ruohonjuuri.fi, the company has been working with Supermind since 2020. According to Sini Martikainen, Product Range Manager at Ruohonjuuri Oy, the results have been transformative.


“We have been using Supermind for exactly three years now, and it has made our operations incredibly efficient. Our costs decreased significantly after implementation. Purchasing is much more effective, other processes are faster and more accurate, and—most importantly—product availability has improved. At the start, we were a little concerned about availability, but it never dropped, even though inventory values went down.”

One of the most visible results has been a sharp reduction in inventory values. Within just a few months of implementation, stock levels decreased by hundreds of thousands of euros—an estimated 10–20%—while maintaining high availability.

Sini also highlights the system’s usability and impact on assortment management:

“Assortment management is faster and more precise. The system’s informativeness is in a completely different class compared to others, and it’s so easy to use. Anyone can find the information they need quickly. Efficiency, speed, ease of use, simple views, editing options, mass changes, and the campaign module—those are the features I value most.”

The implementation went smoothly, even as Ruohonjuuri was undergoing internal reforms at the same time. Positive results were visible almost immediately, with tangible improvements within the first year of use.

Sini also appreciates the ongoing partnership:

Customer service needs have been minimal, with most interactions focusing on development opportunities rather than troubleshooting. In fact, the collaboration has led to the creation of new features for Supermind, including a jointly developed campaign management module that streamlines campaign purchasing and provides tools for analyzing results.
