Demand planning built on real data
Supermind forecasts demand at the product and location level using several mathematical forecasting models, including trend-based forecasts, seasonal models, and moving averages. In addition, a fully AI-driven forecasting model can be used. This model considers demand patterns of similar products, category-level sales behavior, and price variations to improve accuracy.
Forecasts are stored daily in the database, enabling intelligent stock simulations and reliable demand planning. Planning takes into account forecasts, open purchase and sales orders, current inventory levels, minimum order quantities, batch sizes, supplier order frequencies, lead times, and safety stock. Reorder points are dynamically calculated using ABC and XYZ analysis.
Together, forecasting and demand planning generate clear replenishment proposals that define how much to order and when. This helps avoid excess inventory while maintaining high product availability and keeping stock value under control.
