Our founder is a true self‑made builder — someone who has been developing software for inventory optimization and supply‑chain excellence for nearly two decades.
Everything began with coding a simple “shortage list” application at the international life‑science corporation Revvity Inc. (then PerkinElmer Life Sciences). The tool was created to make it easier for production teams to report material shortages to buyers.
In his next role — at what is now the multinational pet retail chain Musti Group (which at the time operated only in Finland and Sweden) — Jani built an automated store‑replenishment system used to replenish nearly one hundred stores and a central warehouse. The system started out as a collection of Excel macros connected to a database and integrated into the ERP via “home‑built” interfaces. Despite its humble beginnings, it worked remarkably well and delivered strong results. Over time, it evolved from spreadsheets into a fully-fledged application.
Supermind was born when Jani wondered whether this expertise could benefit other retailers and retail chains. The answer became obvious: yes — many others could benefit from it.
From day one, Supermind has been built around a simple but powerful philosophy:
The system must be easy to use, and it must be fast
It must offer such comprehensive capabilities that a growing company never needs to replace it
It must adapt equally well to small businesses and large enterprises
And its architecture must support company‑specific needs in usage, data, and outcomes

Today, as I write this, Supermind serves dozens of customers across retail, manufacturing, and wholesale - all of them very different from one another, and all consistently very satisfied. As an entrepreneur, I can say with confidence that I have succeeded when I’ve been able to help our customers — companies, entrepreneurs, and their employees — thrive.
